Several of the pros who talked to MoneyLion mentioned peel-and-stick backsplash tiles as one of the best affordable ways to upgrade your home with products from Walmart. You can find Japceit tiles for $1.50.

These tiles should be easy to put in without any special tools. They also offer strength and durability.

  • Price: $22.58

You can find plenty of kitchen cabinet hardware options at Walmart to give your room a fresh look. A 10-count pack of cabinet drawer pulls from Design House run $22.58.

“Peel-and-stick backsplash tile and cabinet hardware are the two cheapest kitchen changes that photograph like real renovation work and both are reversible for renters,” said Joel Goldstein, president of Mr. Checkout Distributors.

  • Price: $76.99

You can find lots of ways to upgrade your kitchen at Walmart. Melanie Musson, finance expert with Quote.com, likes the black Kaiying pull-down kitchen faucet with an integrated glass rinser.

“You’ll feel like you walked into a luxury kitchen the first time you use your glass rinser,” Musson noted. “It’s a great feature and this whole faucet costs only about $80.”

  • Price: $3

Teresa Tran, consumer expert and COO of LaGrande Marketing, likes to get a sample pint of paint at Walmart before buying a full gallon. Tran said you can select any color at the paint counter and have a sample pint for $3, while a full gallon of paint is only $25.

“As for me, I try to take a piece of cardboard and paint the color onto it before choosing to paint the wall,” Tran added. “This way, I can see how the color looks in different light. By taking this small extra step, I saved about $22 last month on one particular wall.”

  • Price: $17.71

“The best value at Walmart in home goods is in the categories where the finish is the product and there is little mechanism to fail: textiles and lighting,” Goldstein said. “New curtains and rods, a rug, throw pillows, bedding and warm-toned LED bulbs change how a room reads for very little money and there is not much a premium brand does better in those categories.”

If you want to change some lighting, browse some of the Great Value soft-white LED light bulb options to enhance a study room or bedroom.
