The following 100 gigs all make great side hustles because they’re available part-time and with flexible schedules. Most are within reach of ordinary people without unusual skills or highly technical backgrounds — and with many of them, it’s possible to earn much, much more.

Some entries cite average monthly pay. Others show the typical hourly rate. When reading, keep in mind that you can earn $100 a month by working just two hours per week at $11.54 per hour — and every side hustle on this list pays more than that.

RentAFriend lets you lease out your awesomeness to people looking for platonic relationships. The site says you can earn up to $50 an hour, plus free meals, sporting events, concerts and more.

Papa.com is a site that pairs seniors in need of companionship and light assistance with side hustlers who can provide them with transportation, help them with everyday tasks and just spend time with them. You can work as little or as much as you like and the average Papa Pal earns $22 an hour.

According toUrban Sitter, the average babysitter earns $26.24 per hour to watch one child in 2026 — a little more or less depending on where you live and whether you’re watching one child or more.

Salary.com says the median dog walker makes $17 an hour in 2026.



According to ZipRecruiter, animal lovers can earn the same $15.29 an hour as a dog walker without touching a leash — that’s the average pay for a pet sitter, but it's dipped slightly from 2024's $16.

Keeping an eye on people’s homes while they’re gone can also bring you $16 an hour. That’s what the Economic Research Institute says you can expect to make as a house sitter.

Turo lets you rent your car to motorists who want to avoid mainstream companies like Hertz. ZipRecruiter says one car put to work earns $16.05 an hour, though it's slightly higher in urban areas where people are less likely to own cars.

If you don’t have a car to rent, you can make up to $150 per month on Neighbor by renting out your driveway to those who need a place to park their own.

If you own the rights to a dedicated parking space, you can earn up to $300 per month on Neighbor renting it to drivers who need the spot.

If you have a garage, Neighbor says you can increase your earnings by renting your space for $100-$600 per month.

You can earn up to $200 per month renting your empty shed on Neighbor to people who are moving, are between apartments or simply need the space but don’t want to pay the high cost of professional storage.

If you have an unused attic, basement, bedroom or other indoor space where people can store their stuff, you can earn up to $600 per month renting it out on Neighbor.



If you have a spare room that you’re willing to rent to guests, Mashvisor says the average rate on Airbnb grosses $171 per night.

Splinster is a site that lets you rent your bike on a peer-to-peer basis. The site says you can earn up to $500 a month in passive income, depending on your bike and location.

You can also earn up to $500 on Splinster by renting out your surfboard, snowboard, skis or other specialty gear to vacationers, travelers and hobbyists.

A classic side hustle that just about anyone with a license and a car can do, rideshare driving grosses an average of $20 to $25 an hour, but you will have to factor in depreciation and gas/charging costs.

Walmart’s contract shoppers and delivery drivers are known as Spark Drivers and while hourly rates are all over the map, the lowest seems to hover around a realistic $18.

Amazon farms out some of its package delivery needs to contractors through its Amazon Flex program. It says the average driver earns $18-$25 an hour.

You don’t need to deliver groceries, food orders or people to turn your car into a cash cow.

If you’re looking to pick up a few bartending shifts on the weekends or your off-hours, ZipRecruiter says the average pay with tips is more than $16 an hour, but many make much more — and often have fun while they earn.

If you’re an experienced and creative organizer, ZipRecruiter says your skill at turning cluttered rooms into functional spaces can become a side hustle that pays an average of $40.52 an hour.

If you’re adept and creating indoor spaces that get the most out of every room, Salary.com says the average freelance interior designer earns $30 an hour.

If you specialize in preparing homes for sale on the real estate market, the Home Staging Institute says you can charge $100 to $200 an hour as an independent stager, one of the highest pay rates on the list — and enough to earn your entire month’s target in 60 minutes. The ultimate side hustle for gamers, game testers earn an average of $19.57 an hour helping developers improve their programs and work out their bugs, according to Indeed.

If you make, bake, grow or craft something that justifies a booth at a farmer’s market, Glassdoor says the average vendor earns the equivalent of not $100 per month, but $3,750. The width of income varies widely, depending on the market, but it's an average of $41.45 according to ZipRecruiter.

POD side hustlers partner with sellers to create and sell custom merchandise. ZipRecruiter says the average among them earns $28.29 an hour working from home.

If you’re adept at advising and consulting the purchasing decisions of people and businesses, ZipRecruiter says you can make an average of $23.91 an hour as a personal shopper.
