Early versions of tech products tend to age extremely well in the resale market. For example, many digital cameras like the Canon G7x have gone viral on Instagram and TikTok, and are now selling for over $1,200 even though they were just a couple hundred bucks before. So, if you have any electronics that are unused or still in good condition, don't throw them away. They could be worth a lot of money in a few years.

As kids grow up and start earning more, they're often willing to pay a premium to own a piece of their childhood. Pokémon cards, old Nintendo games, Transformers toys and first-edition books have already proven how quickly value can skyrocket. For example, the most expensive Pokémon card was sold for a record-breaking $16,492,000 in February 2026.

Mass-produced furniture is everywhere now, which is exactly why older vintage pieces are becoming more desirable. Plus, items made from real wood or handcrafted materials tend to age better over time. So, if you own a piece of solid wood furniture, don't be too quick to replace it.

The mid-20th-century glass bowls from brands like Fire-King and Pyrex haven't changed, but their prices have. For example, Pyrex surged in popularity in the mid-20th century because of its colorful patterns, and certain early pieces are now worth big money, with many selling for thousands of dollars on auction sites. So, before you start your spring cleaning, inspect the dishes to see if any of them are worth keeping around and reselling in the future.

Design trends are cyclical, and what looks outdated today can come back in style 10 years from now. For example, Juicy Couture tracksuits were once a staple of the early 2000s and are now trending again almost two decades later. That's how a lot of vintage clothing gains value. Once a trend comes back, people want the original versions and not the remakes. And since there's only so much of it left in good condition, prices can go up fast.
