In addition to being strategic about when you shop, Decodo offered the following tips for getting the best deals this holiday weekend:

  • Always check price history. Retailers sometimes inflate prices right before a sale. According to Decodo's 2025 data, 23% of tracked "deals" were based on inflated reference prices that were higher than the product’s average price over the previous 30 days.

  • Compare the same item across multiple retailers. Identical products showed price differences of up to 19% over Memorial Day Weekend 2025. Some retailers have higher starting prices, so the biggest discount doesn’t always equal the lowest price.
