5 Affordable Luxuries Kate Kaden Uses To Beat the Summer Heat in Style

What little luxuries do influencers recommend buying this summer? Frugal living YouTuber Kate Kaden recently shared a video outlining her top five picks to invest in that are simple, practical for everyday life and won’t break the bank. The total cost for the five items mentioned is $100, according to Kaden, and each is worth every penny.

Best of all, every item is designed to keep you cool in the heat. Here’s what you need to add to your shopping list.

There are tons of benefits to owning an ice roller. Some include decreasing facial puffiness, soothing inflammation, boosting circulation and providing instant cool relief on scorching hot days.

While Kaden received her ice roller as a Christmas gift, she said in her video that similar ice rollers can be purchased on Amazon for $8.

Cooling sheets are the most expensive item in this roundup, but Kaden said they come with massive perks. One of the biggest pros are their deep pockets. The sheet pockets get around your mattress and stay put without popping off the corners.

“I just think it’s worth the investment having sheets that are comfortable, cool and feel so good,” said Kaden.

Her pro tip? Invest in white sheets to instantly feel like you’re staying in a hotel.

A bedside fan allows you to stay cool while you sleep year-round, and it is generally inexpensive. Kaden’s fan cost $14.99.

Comfortable, breathable underwear is a must for your everyday life, especially if you regularly exercise.

As far as little luxuries go, you can always find comfortable underwear at bargain prices. Kaden said most packs of Fruit of the Loom underwear cost less than $20 at big-box stores.

You may already have everything you need in the shower to fulfill this daily, luxurious act. Kaden said a double cleanse is when you first use bar soap in the shower to really scrub and clean your full body. After rinsing, use the loofah and a sweet-smelling body wash so you can smell great and stay fresher longer.

If you don’t already have this kind of body wash, Kaden recommended the Suave brand, which is usually $3 a bottle. And the bar soup is just a few dollars.

The double cleanse might not be for everyone, but Kaden said it can make your shower a little more relaxing and luxurious.
