During the Indy 500: Race for Equality and Change Qualifying Weekend, MoneyLion partnered with Paretta Autosport, No. 16 Simona De Silvestro, Play Like a Girl, IndyCar, and Indianapolis Motor Speedway to bring 50 young girls and their parents for a fun day at the track. The day started with a lighting Q&A panel hosted by MoneyLion’s Anscia Brown that featured Beth Paretta (Team Principal of Paretta Autosport), Lisa Boggs (Director of Motorsports for Bridgestones Americas), SJ Leudtke (Vice President of Marketing for IndyCar), and Amiah Mimms (Creative Designer for Indianapolis Motor Speedway) with a surprise guest, Simona De Silvestro! After the panel, the girls took a tour of the track and visited the Paretta Autosport Garage to see the car before Qualifying Weekend, the Firestone Garage, and the Media Center to see all of the vast STEM+ opportunities available in the motorsports industry. Finally, we heard from Penske Entertainment’s Chief Diversity Officer, Jimmie McMillian, and ended the day with watching Day 1 of Qualifying Weekend at the Indy 500.
