The biggest downside is acceleration, which has been pegged as weak in some reviews. Still, this ding hasn’t stopped it from receiving first place honors on KBB’s list of the best subcompact cars.

Is this really a sedan? Yep! The 2026 Kia K4 has received universal praise for its cool styling, an element worth considering if you’re shopping for an impressive looking sedan that won’t break the bank.

However, be forewarned that the cargo space is a little tight compared to the other sedans on this list.
