6 Ways New Lidl Rewards Program Delivers Grocery Savings

Sticker shock at the grocery store is something Americans have dealt with for the last few years due to rising food costs, and one way to help keep the bill down is to shop at Lidl. The East Coast chain has quality items for less, and shoppers can often find staples — such as milk, eggs, bread, produce and pantry items — below what you'd often find at larger supermarket chains.
The discount grocery retailer offers consumers a no-frills shopping experience and affordable private-label products, helping people stretch their money further.

Like many other stores, Lidl offers a rewards program, but it's changing. Here is everything you need to know.
The New Rewards Program Started in July
The current program ended on June 30, and members will no longer be able to use the myLidl app. The new Lidl Plus rewards app launches July 15, but customers can download it from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store and preregister from July 1 to July 14.
How Lidl Plus Works
The Lidl Plus is designed to give customers greater value with every visit. Members can look forward to exclusive deals, reward points, coupons and more in the app. However, it's important to note that you don't need to be a member to shop at Lidl. You can still enjoy lower prices without signing up for Lidl Plus, but you will save even more by registering.
6 Ways To Save With Lidl Plus
There is no fee to register or dues to pay as a member -- it's completely free. Shoppers who sign up will get access to the following:
Members will receive automatic lower prices on certain items at checkout.
Your shopping history will be stored and tracked with digital receipts for no-hassle returns.
It'll help you stay up to date on sales with weekly ads.
You'll get personalized coupons based on shopping history.
There are games and reward surprises.
You can collect points to redeem for free items.
How To Register
To get member prices and benefits, shoppers will need to register online at Lidl’s website or sign up on any computer for the new app. While you don’t need a smartphone to apply, you do need a device that receives SMS messages to verify your account.
Shoppers with the myLidl app will need to create a new account, but if you use the same email address, your information will be automatically transferred to Lidl Plus.
With the cost of living soaring, saving every dollar counts, and Lidl makes it easier to get household basics without breaking the bank.
