If you're planning to travel to Europe this summer, brace yourself for higher costs.

“This summer is going to be harder financially on travelers,” Jesse Neugarten, founder and CEO of Dollar Flight Club, said in a press release. “Between Spirit Airlines’ historic shutdown and jet fuel prices doubling since the Iran war started, this is the most volatile summer travel market in decades.”

However, savvy travelers can still find budget-friendly flight deals.

"The deals haven’t disappeared — they’ve just moved and travelers need to know where to look,” Neugarten said.

While round-trip summer fares to popular European destinations like Paris, Rome, London and Barcelona are running $1,700 to $2,100, you can still find sub-$500 flights if you look farther north, according to a recent Dollar Flight Club analysis.

Here are six European flight routes currently available for under $500.

All of these destinations offer round-trip flights from the U.S. for less than $500.

  1. Helsinki: Round-trip flights start at $333

  2. Stockholm: Flights start at $359

  3. Oslo, Norway: Flights start at $397

  4. Reykjavik, Iceland: Flights start at $423

  5. Copenhagen, Denmark: Flights start at $443

  6. Dublin: Flights start at $465
